The process of your academic placement >> Authentication and Legalisation of Certificates and Documents

In order for all relevant documents from your home country (secondary school certificate, university degrees and grade transcripts) to be accepted by the relevant German Accreditation of Education Documents agencies, you need an official attestation of the authenticity of your documents (Legalisation) from the responsible authorities in your home country e.g. the Foreign Ministry in your country.

The authenticated documents must be legalized by either the German Consulate or Embassy in your country.

In addition, all documents must be translated into German or English by an officially certified translator.
On each translation there should be a attestation from the translator that it was translated from an original document, as well as the original language the document was translated from e.g. :

"This translation was done from an original document, which was in the Russian language."
